2nd Rare Diseases Summer School

Monday, July 14th to Wednesday, July 16th 2014 Tagungszentrum Schloss Au, Wädenswil (on lake Zurich)


The 2nd Rare Diseases Summer School was attended by 33 (18 females, 15 males) young clinicians and researchers coming from five different countries (Germany, Serbia, The Netherlands, UK,  Switzerland).

The participants rated the summer school 2014 very highly in their evaluations. 90 % rated the content of the summer school as good or excellent. 100 % were happy or very happy with its organization. The poster session, the time for informal discussion and the interactions between participants and speakers were assessed good or excellent by more than 90% of the participants. This feedback is being used to further improve the summer school. All speakers and workshop leaders received the feedback regarding their lectures and workshops, in order to allow them to tailor their teaching to the needs of this very diverse group of participants.

For the first time a secure participant's website was established. From this website, all participants could download useful take-home material including speaker's presentations, participant's posters, and contact list.
